They are going to try and do FB Live.

157 sounds like it should be the one to watch.

Facebook - Are the admins for the athletic department or wrestling program in their 60s?

Literally takes less than a minute to register a FB account.  Unless you object to FB in general, which would be understandable.

Of course I know it's easy to sign up. If someone doesn't have FB in 2023, it's obviously for a reason.

YouTube is a better platform for live streaming because no user account is required.

I found that interesting also. I figured they'd try to cut him down to 149 to make room for Steed at 157.

I did, too.  I did think he would be 157 for last year, though, prior to Jacques coming back.

I’m wondering if the loser of Mauller/Steed drops to 149. Mauller there and Steed at 57 makes for our best lineup I would think. Idk if Steed can cut that far though. If that’s the case and Mauller goes 57 and Steed can’t make the cut, I think that leaves a hole at 49.

The few matches that I've seen Mauller wrestle at 157 didn't go very well. Hopefully he goes down.

Woah.  Mauller at 157?

I'm betting he goes 149.  They already have 4 guys wrestling off there today, so they may not have had a match for him at that weight.  But he's been a 149 pounder for the last 5 years, and their roster lists him at 149.

He beat Steed 2-1. Both had escapes, but Mauller won on RT.

Here's what Smith said about it:

“(Mauller has) gotten bigger, he is certified at ‘49, but he wanted to see how it's gonna feel at ‘57 at the beginning of the year, so we'll see. If he's doing well up there, he'll stay up there and we have (Logan) Gioffre doing a really good job at ‘49 and he's been the one that's kind of stood out all the whole fall. I'd like to see Cam Steed get in, but he'll get a lot of matches this year. Right now that's the way it is, but it can change.”

Where is Clayton Whiting? Him and Hawks split matches last year, and he has had a fair amount of hype as a recruit/redshirt, yet he didn’t even compete and it seems like Hawks is the widely expected starter. Is Whiting injured or just 3rd string?

He should be at the Tiger Style Invite this weekend.

Last year Hawks didn't wrestle at Black & Gold (for a different reason than Whiting's) and he was back at the Invite as well.

I could see R Elam moving to HWY next year and one of the 184’s moving to 197. I can’t wait to see Sinclair, wonder if he RS?

Hasn't Rocky always wrestled 92kg internationally? Makes me think that he will stick with 197 for his whole career. If he intends to keep competing at 92kg he would definitely be in the thick of it for making the US World team.

Took his brother years to fill out to a decent heavy and still has tank issues.  Can’t see Rocky leaving 197.  Reason I say that about Zac is because they were both the same body wise.  To be honest 197 would have been the best weight for Zac imo.
