For those of you us who couldn't see it, what happened with Snyder? Was the Bahrain guy THAT MUCH better??

He got down 4-0 early and forced a shot to go down 6-0.  Then he forced another shot and got crotch lifted.  Lost 10-0.  Guy barely broke a sweat too.

That was insane. Sadulaev looked terrible

What is funny is Snyder didn't.  He looked great prior to this.  He just got down big early.  Quicksanded himself.

He got to the legs several times but his opponent took advantage and tossed Snyder for 2 feet-to-backs w/ pretty perfect technique. He also got one normal TD in there. It was devastating.

Feet to back chest wrap counter out of bounds

Countered for a questionable 2 out of bounds

Feet to back counter out of bounds again

Was he that much better? He sure made Snyder look silly

Obviously Bahrainian has Soviet ties, so Sadulaev isn't losing that match.

It seems the only former Russian who actually tries against current Russians is Cabalov at 74 KG.

from flo's breakdown:

Quote

Akhmed Tazhudinov is a transfer from Russia who has been on an incredible run over the past year. Tazhudinov has won 4 of the 5 international tournaments he’s competed since last November. During this run, Tazhudinov’s best wins came against the aforementioned Matcharashvili and Mojtaba Goleij. Tazhudinov hasn’t yet wrestled Snyder or Sadulaev but his results against the rest of the field make him an interesting wrestler to watch in Belgrade.

The only wrestler to defeat Tazhudinov over the past year is Hungary’s Vladislav Baitsaev (listed in the bracket as Vlagyiszlav Bajcajev). Baitsaev is another Russian transfer who was the second-best 97 kg wrestler in Russia for years behind Sadulaev.

That happened to Dake at the Tokyo Olympics... got down and tried to hit it out of the park only to get TF himself, no?
