Maryland isn’t a basement team anymore , definitely a team on the rise

They still haven't beaten any other B1G schools in how many years?

To save you time I can tell you the exact date: January 10th, 2016.

They are the basement until they earn their way out of it.

and yet it doesn't

It was a highly inaccurate statement to begin with.

90% of 66 (80 less the 14) means 59 or 60, depending on the round.

The basement is absolutely not better than all but 6 or 7 of the remaining D1 teams.

“should look like the penthouse”

And I stand by my view that the whole Big10 “should” look like a Top 20 contender (penthouse) yearly.

I wish you were right.

Unfortunately the high school wrestling room I had in the early to mid 1980s was better than what Michigan State currently has.

Well for the sake of some of these lower tiered teams, hopefully they can have success so they have something to build on and maybe attract some wrestlers that they might not otherwise get. I like to see schools that usually don’t do well, get an AA, or some other type of success so it energizes the program.
