Meyer Shapiro's Origin Story

Reversal

Recommended Posts

Meyer Shapiro is the number one recruit in the nation. I guess that's well deserved based on his Cadet World gold and now his u23 World Gold. But is it true as PA-wrestling.com has it that he wrestled just two years in high school, one at Bullis, one at Wyoming Seminary.

He has never competed at U23s, and he skipped at least one year of HS wrestling to joint Yianni at Spartan Combat/Cornell.

Sorry, I meant U20s. Will fix if i can. But did he skip two years of high school, not just one? Was he hurt one year? Ineligible?

meyer wrestled his whole life.

he didn't compete a ton.

and, in his first year at Fargo he DNP'd.

which is why, when i said in my Cadet Trials two years ago that he was a lock, people lost their heads.

he's been a prodigy since middle school.

I believe you, but if he did not compete much, how do you know he was a prodigy? Was it the Cadet world title alone or was there something else?

i follow JR High very closely.

when i said 'prodigy' i meant prior to the Trials and World titles.
