This could be the most ridiculous thing ever, but I like it. Vagina sounds too clinical. Bonus hole sounds like fun.

Doesn't the term bonus hole sound like that is a good thing to have?   It's a bonus?   Isn't that an attack on those without a bonus hole?  In trying to be gender neutral, they are actually being gender specific.   This is pathetic by any standard.

who sounds persecuted?

do you not see the ridiculousness in it?

Sure, that bonus hole thing sounds ridiculous, but from what I can tell it comes from one random charity in England where they offered it in their literature as a suggested alternative to check w/ people if they'd be more comfortable with that language, not a demand from the medical community that the language be changed for everybody all over the world.  So yes, it sounds stupid to me, but it's a tiny thing from one group offered as a suggestion, not a "rebranding of the vagina."  If we're going to get mad about every dumb thing someone says in the world...

I'll become much more interested in trans-women when doctors can make holes that surpass the vagina. I think that might mark the singularity.

Here’s the thing, Theo…

Transwomen are women, so if you’re not into transwomen, you are not into women.

If you are not into women, you are either gay or asexual; therefore, if you are not into transwomen, you are either gay or asexual.

Congratulations! You are now a member of LGBTQIATS+!

You can include AI-VR-R in my letters. I just hope I live long enough to see artificial intelligence, virtual reality and robotics merge into the ultimate user experience. This will surely mark the end of humanity and I hope it is the one that our AI overlords grant us...

Cmon, Vak. you're being disingenuous.

the whitewashing of language is both ridiculous and pervasive.

someone (stanford maybe) did away with calling it 'field work'.

'birthing people' for what used to be known as 'women'

etc etc.

it's not the end of the world, but it's comical.

Language has changed throughout the history of the world.  We use different language now than we used when I was born in 1983, which was different than language we used when my father was born in 1954, which is different from when his father was born, and so on and so forth.  I'm not being disingenuous.  I don't care.  You might care, and that's fine.  Different strokes.  I'm far more concerned with other things in the world.

it's a conversation. i didn't say i'm concerned about it.

but you intimated that it's not a recurring thing when it indeed happens with increasing frequency all because of 'feelings' and sensitivity.

stanford published a whole list of new terminology they were going to implement.

do you not recall the roundly mocked list of terms PETA put out a couple years ago?

if you don't find it interesting or humorous, fine. but i do.
