flyingcement
As far as I can tell, he was their only all-american this year (correct me if I'm wrong) and Blair has had a streak of consecutive years with All Americans going back several decades
Winners Circle
Not sure about the streak. But can confirm he was Blair's only AA this season.

PortaJohn
The '01 Blair Team I still consider the best team in HS history. Cooperman, Esposito, Perry, Backes, And Mocco. Perry lost in the finals at Prep Nationals that year to Dave Hoffman (Hill School) who was no slouch. Storniolo (Haverford) also won a Prep title that year before moving out to State College and finishing his career competing in PIAA. 2 I Don't Agree With What I Posted
wrestlingest2010
Superb tournament he had. He was wrestling to the potential most PSU fans predicted early. Initially, it felt like he just got a really good draw (Paniro was a familiar opponent and Rooks was a gift quarters) but his matches against Parco and Henson I think sold everyone he was for real. Obviously he wrestled Yianni tough but I don't read much into that since Yianni is just a guy that plays with fire sometimes. Hopefully he continues the momentum. I think there was a Davison, MI team in the early 2000s that had an insane number of D1 starters on it as well. Something like 13 total, 8 starting? Now we mostly know of the Donahoe, Metcalf, and Readers - but there were more that went to MAC and lower B1G schools. "I know actually nothing. It isn't even conjecture at this point." - me

Davison's best guys on those teams...Chase and Brent Metcalf, John Reader, Paul Donahoe, Chad Rousch, Casey Streeter, Trevor and Travis Perry, and Joe and John Whitman. St. Edwards has had many great teams as well as St. Paris Graham....not saying the 1981 St. Ed's team is there best....I like the '82 team, but the '81 team had Pat Welch 3rd, and 5 state champs who all went on to Division 1 success. Greg Wright, Jim Heffernan, Greg Elinsky, Joe Silvestro and Bill Elbin.
