Yeah - he was just there this weekend. Hopefully he let's Minnesota make a case here. I imagine matching money won't be difficult since the AD is involved here and can get non wrestling boosters involved even.

Matching Brandvold for a '23 world and '24 Olympic run will be even more difficult. It's not like Iowa/HWC helped Steveson earn that $250,000 Living The Dream paycheck in 2021 and the long-term earnings (read: marketing) from repeated global championships outweighs whatever Bob Nichols can throw at Steveson for one NCAA season.

ETA: unless Steveson gets some of that Miami-level football money and I don't see that happening.

This forum is for discussing things like this. I didn't see anybody flipping out when there were much worse rumors of Mark Perry flying around or any other rumor. Calm tf down.
