Young Voters

Well, with Dobbs, you get more interest in voting.

https://www.npr.org/2022/11/10/1135810302/turnout-among-young-voters-was-the-second-highest-for-a-midterm-in-past-30-years

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/3731564-young-women-broke-hard-for-democrats-in-the-midterms/

Women 18-29 went 72% for Democrats.
The GOP won't get those voters back.

Dobbs was clearly in 'dog catches car' territory.

Looks like the same "stupidity" question could be asked middle-aged people as well (30-44 year olds).

Stated another way, why are half of the voters in America "stupid?"

Q!  Hunter Biden!  Pizzagate!

The media lies have a substantial influence on young women voting behavior. While most people agree that abortion should be situationally legal, the media would have women believe that the evil Republicans will issue a comprehensive ban.  The lies are so effective that in states like Kansas, where abortion is legal, even Republican women believed they were losing their rights.  When the media generates a shitstorm about tiny percentages, stupid people do what stupid people do.

uh, no, brainiac. you do understand that the above graph shows that 18-29 y/o's effectively swung the midterms.

Well, you're right.  Why, after all, a majority of 30-44 year olds DIDN'T indeed vote Democrat.

Obamer's a Mozlum!

Obamer's not a citizen!

not to that percentage. and you're totally dismissing the trend put forth by others.

it's really funny that the left calls out people for 'stereotyping' and yet they are the most judgmental of all.

here you are painting anyone with a modicum of leftist dissent all kinds of extremists.

clown shit. and zero intellectual integrity. you're cultish.

Maybe not to that percentage, but, oddly enough, it's very close to the same percentage of the two older cohorts who voted Republican.  SO, if indeed the 30-44 year old vote isn't really representing anything significant, as you say, one can only conclude that the other two cohorts who voted Republican are insignificant as well, correct, sir?

RIGGED!

STOP THE STEAL!

DOMINION VOTING MACHINES!

i'm really sorry for your if your brain can't compute

1) Kamala calling them idiots

2) that same cohort deciding the election for her party every single time

but go ahead and finish your retort with 3 extremist tropes about the right.

Who said, "I love the poorly educated!" ?

Trying to say that the Republicans don't pander is a bit disingenuous.

After the overturn of Roe, Kansas held a vote over whether to strip the right to abortion from the state constitution, so that might have something to do with women in the state feeling like their rights were at stake. They voted overwhelmingly to keep that right.

Many states had trigger laws that banned or severely limited access the instant Roe was overturned. And politicians like Lindsey Graham (who should be all about "states rights"), made comments about the need for a nationwide ban. Not hard to see why this would drive people to the polls. No media lies needed.

The people in the media, phone texts, and my Facebook community stated the vote was to ban abortion (the lie) when it was about allowing lawmakers in the state to regulate abortion.

The amendment would literally strip the constitutional right to abortion access. They would be losing their rights, and then leaving them in the hands of mostly old white men (who would most certainly attempt to pass a law akin to what Texas or Louisiana have). That idea was resoundingly rejected.

For clarity, women could still get abortions in Kansas regardless of whether the amendment passed or failed.  And that is not what the media told us.

I cannot comprehend that anyone believes it is a women's right to choose to kill a healthy, viable baby with the dismemberment procedure known as Dilation and Evacuation.  There damn well should be some regulation concerning the nuanced situation where abortion is tolerable.

What are your thoughts on ectopic pregnancies?

I follow the thinking that the dr performs an ectopic procedure with the goal to save the life of the mother and the unborn.  The unborn normally dies from the procedure and the mother is normally saved.  This is different than an abortion where the intent is to kill the unborn.  Regardless of the intent behind how the unborn dies, it is a woman’s right to choose her immediate physical survival first.
