Bigbrog Posted May 24, 2023 Share Posted May 24, 2023 Have any of you heard of this? Just read about it...it's like Uber but the drivers are armed. Guess it is in ATL but expanding. Sounds like they have an exclusive client customer in mind, but also want it available to the general public. Not sure what to think about it other than it sounds like a good idea, but guess I didn't realize it wasn't safe to ride in an Uber/Lfyt? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I remember back in the day our parents said not to get into cars with strangers. Closes thing I saw is it is in response to crime increase in ATL...but then the person who came up with it didn't mention that rather spoke about how this was for a specific clientele - executives, celebrities, and such that would need armed protection, but those folks probably would have that anyway. And the person went on to say it would also be available for people, parents and kids who are looking for piece of mind. Sounds like there is a stringent recruitment process for the drivers and the job is marketed to ex police, military, bodyguards, etc...more importantly those trained with weapons and are licensed in specific states they would work in. I can't believe there is an insurance company who would license this, but then again, I know there is.
