What upcoming tourneys do college coaches do their scouting at?

Fargo and Super 32 are the big ones. Any others that college coaches attend or use for scouting (preferably folkstyle)? Do they go to NUWay Summer Nationals or any other NUWay events?

Folkstyle Nationals would have been one to look at the upcoming wrestlers. It was this weekend. NHSCA as well, but it also has passed.

I wasn’t very  impressed with the field at Folkstyle nationals this year. Not a lot of ranked wrestlers there this year.

It looks like a lot of great  matches at Elite duals this year.

Are freestyle tournaments really worth souting for filling folkstyle college wrestling teams?    The two styles are significantly different, aren't they?

Quality of competition…

As far as the thread..

college coaches have told me they mainly look at national results from super 32 and Fargo  and then what coaches they trust/or who wrestled in college say about the kid. They only really care about state results from

3A Illinois, D1 Ohio, big school pa, cali, jersey

one coach flat out said any other state titles are just indicators and they need to see national results

Something I've heard from coaches is that Fargo and other freestyle events tell them who is willing to work year round and to go out of their comfort zone learning new things.

Cadet Trials is huge.

especially now that commitments happen earlier and earlier - Cadet Trials has become one of the biggest. Behind S32 but maybe that's it. perhaps now on par with Fargo.

Consider that 37 of the Top 60 hs juniors are already committed.
