The 34 and counting thread had a few (predictable) fantasy picks. If you're a fan, who would like to see come in? Better, other than former-OSU guys, who would you like to see?

You know what? It's kinda a bummer to think about. Other than a fantasy hire like David Taylor, I can't see how they stay perinially on/near the podium. Even then, the guy has no record as a coach.

Why is the program beyond rehabilitation? Oklahoma is still a solid wrestling state so you have in state guys to pull from. Texas, Missouri & Colorado high school wrestling keep improving. OK State is one of the few programs that gets a fairly mild winter. The legacy of excellence within the program is well established. GIA is one of the better attended arenas in college wrestling. The program is still pulling in top tier recruits.

I guess you're right. Idk why I get the idea that the brand is damaged. The Ferarri fiasco might have something to do with it. It revealed some serious issues with the team culture. It also made the Fix doping stuff less easy to forget about. J7st bad mojo.

Btw is it true that the guys really like Chris Perry? I have a feeling they do. This might not be a good thing.

I have no idea is the guys like Perry but he definitely is intense when he is coaching matches. He looks like a maniac out there haha.

Any word on Trevor Mastro? I know he took some time off this past season but is he coming back? Sounds like he was dealing with mental and physical issues.

I'd expect its open competition for the spot.  Whitcraft looked better than Mastro once he got comfortable down to weight but next year could be different.
