CHROMEBIRD
Not necessarily talking about the greatest wrestlers, but the greatest, most exciting, most memorable matches. I'm having a tough time thinking of good ones outside of NCAAs because the stakes are so high, but I imagine many here will have some better ideas 125 Mills vs. Gonzales (1979 NCAA finals) 133 Ironside vs. Kolat (1996 All Star Classic) 141 Owings vs. Gable (1970 NCAAs) 149 Marianetti vs. McIlravy (1995 NCAAs) 157 Jenkins vs. Taylor (2011 NCAAs) 165 Hendricks vs. Churella (2006 NCAAs) 174 Martin vs. Nickal (2016 NCAAs) 184 Rohn vs. Lambrecht (2002 NCAAs) 197 Kilgore vs. Foster (2011 NCAAs) 285 Cassar vs. Steveson (2019 NCAAs)
CHROMEBIRD
For 133 Ness vs. Dennis in the 2010 NCAA finals was up there but Ironside and Kolat was overall a better match imo. Ramos vs. Lee this year was a thriller for sure but is still too raw for me to put on my list right now.

Great list. As a PSU fan I favor the 2018 version of Martin v Nickal, though. 1 Drowning in data, but thirsting for knowledge

Regarding Schultz, it's tough to keep the consensus #2 match of all time off of this list. mspart

I say slot Schultz and Banach at 174 (that’s closer to the actual weight of 177 anyway) and keep Rohn in at 184.
flyingcement
Great list. I will also put forth for submission: Jon Trenge vs Damion Hahn 2003 (197 lbs)

The 2018 match was at 184 though and not as good as Rohn-Lambrecht or Schultz-Banach. 2016 Martin-Nickal was at 174 and MyMar crashed the bracket as an 11th seeded true freshman and beat #1 Nickal to win the title in a thrilling high scoring match. That was pretty exciting.

Eagle26
177 became 184 with the new at the time weigh in rulesYeah I get that… I just think they both need to be on the list. He has Gable (142 which would be more like 149) at 141 so I think it’s fair to put 177 at 174 for this one.

CHROMEBIRD
If it wasn't for Larry Owings, this would be my favorite for 141: (142) McIlravy vs. Abas (1993 NCAAs)

I guess I'm a fan of the "never stop fighting no matter what" mantra as you might notice from some of my other picks. It was 14-3 going into the last minute of the 3rd period before the tides completely turned. But I cannot deny the action, scoring, and excitement of Schultz vs. Banach (1982 NCAAs) which I forgot to link above. Just epic wrestling. CHROMEBIRD
Would've been hilarious if Gibbons did a back somersault to get out of a single leg from Lewis.
