Claw ride goes under the near arm.

I had to look up whether Nagao could run into Byrd if they lose in the quarters tomorrow and it doesn't look very likely. It might have been a fun match.

Yeah...that was kinda stupid. You can't really choke someone with a claw ride.

Ok, plenty of people try and trap the far shoulder on top(though usually not with both legs in). He's the only guy who looks like he's choking people while doing it.

And you're asking if I'M new to Wrestling!

It may not be an illegal move, but the ref can certainly call it potentially dangerous or just stop it.

Yes...you are correct. WRESTLING. Not MMA. So we should probably try and refrain from...ya know, the choking.

Lol no. Going across the throat doesn’t get called potentially dangerous in college wrestling. It’s illegal or it’s not. If it’s not then nothing gets called in this scenario.

This also isn’t a claw ride. Maybe you should Google that. You’re clearly out of your element.

Nagao clearly tries to choke opponents.  It's incontestable.   Hope they call it on him in the future.

Is the way he’s doing it illegal? Serious question as idk. Don’t think he’s ever been called for it, and if he does it so much and it’s illegal you’d think it would’ve happened at least once.

Dude...this one is NOT a choke. Riding on top with both legs in and coming right across the throat and a pinning combination like this where his elbow is on the chin are two VERY different positions.

He is a menace! He must be stopped!

What a bunch of babies. It’s wrestling a physically demanding sport. Everything people are crying about is within the rules of wrestling. Bow and arrow finish, off of a Turk is about as uncomfortable as a move gets. All perfectly legal.

There should be a rule making grimacing illegal, that'll solve this problem.

He is plain and simple a dirty wrestler.  Defend it if you want but Karma often catches up to guys like this.  Hopefully he gets called for it sooner rather than later.  He is a very good wrestler without resorting to these choke holds, but they can make a couple of point difference in tight matches.  He isn't the first and won't be the last guy to try this stuff.
