They reference that zoo fact from time to time.  This was something else that Pyles didn't want Askren to talk about because Pyles was worried about the fallout.  "Cheating allegations" was a term that was used.  

That was my take as well. Pyles gets called to the carpet whenever Askrin crosses the line.
