First off I'm a Mizzou fan. So biased. But how is that not two in first for Keegan and how is that ever two for Carr in the third. But that was a nice takedown in OT.

Simply getting the other ankle isn't enough. You need to get the wrestler on their hip. Carr avoiding that was impressive.

Askren is going to tee off on this ref. The constant talking to the wrestlers and then making sure to tell them good luck at nationals… Man just do your job and then head off the mat. You don’t need to be a part of this instant classic match.

Wrestling fans always finding something to complain about. No problem with any of that. Get over it

Similar situation at the end of the ncaa championship in 2021 with O’Connor and Sasso. Sasso was extended on the mat, but had the ankles and no hip control. Refs reviewed and called no takedown. There was a lot of debate about that on the old board.

He pinned Witchcraft like 2 weeks ago. As for question #2, it's been a minute. Cruz at senior nationals was the most recent champ he's pinned, I believe

Sr nationals, doesn't sound like a college folkstyle event.  Wittcraft pretty much pinned himself but that was way back in February, Carr just pinned a national champ 20 minutes ago.

Everybody assumes Spencer Lee deserves the Hodge but he's barely wrestled and there isn't much talent at 125. If Carr runs the table through a BRUTAL 165 he deserves it and Parris could also make a great case.

Spencer is 17-0 to Carr's 21-0.  Carr has a 47.2% bonus percentage to Spencer's 88.24.  If you want to argue toughness of the weight class, fine, but that's just one data point.

Ok? Glad you didn’t have a problem with it lol. I’ve been around more coaches and wrestlers at the collegiate level than I can even begin to count that also don’t like when refs do that.

Enjoy your evening and have a great Monday tomorrow.

Plus Carr had both hands on O'Toole's near hand and kept him from covering the near leg while he was reaching for the far one.  I thought that was obviously not a TD.

But I agree Carr's 3rd period TD was a bit questionable.  It certainly 'looked' and 'felt' like a TD, but not sure how it's supposed to be officiated.  O'Toole was holding a leg but was laying on his hip while being folded in half with both legs trapped.  Do we have a ref that can weigh in on that one.

I can ask someone who was on the rules committee.   I thought the refs screwed Carr by calling the TD too early and it was going to get reversed when he could've collected the 2 points with a few extra seconds.

I Don't Agree With What I Posted

Well, Lee is at 125, so not a whole lot of guys moving into that weight.  The one time there was a previous NCAA champ in the bracket, though, he did pin him (Tomasello).

Thats a much better answer than Cruz @ Sr Ntl.
