Im sorry, maybe I’m still salty about Amine beating the Bull last year, but in a world where stalling is called, Amine isn’t that good. Refs let him stand and run until the end every match.

I too am salty about that match but you're not wrong. Amine lost to Brady freaking Berge because he couldn't be motivated enough to try some offense

Lol. Why. He's good in every position and very high wrestling iq

Keeps it too close. I don’t have a ton of faith in Mannings guys at Nattys. Seems like historically they have underachieved. Robb just has the look of someone who will go down in the quarters.

Probably figured they wouldn’t need too because of the edge rule changes. Who could have predicted that the refs would call everything “action” and call even less stalling?

Between everything going oob being action and nothing on top being stalling, the product has really become hard to watch sometimes.

The action call near the end of the Dean match is a perfect example of why they need the pushout rule.

The ref had called Dean for stalling about 10 seconds before so he wouldn't make the second call that quickly even though it was clearly not an action situation.

In other words he would have called stalling on Dean for just bailing out of bounds if he hadn't called stalling 10 seconds before.  But he didn't because ... college ref.

It's indefensible. They need the push out. Even the most ossified sporting organization anywhere, MLB, has made some rule changes.

Agree 100% refs look at calling stalling just prior as an excuse to not call oob stall properly. My biggest issue with a straight push out rule is marrying that idea with an escape. Say wrestler a earns an escape at the oob line and immediately gets shoved out. I don't think that should be a stall call otherwise it incentivizes top guy to wrestle near the line.

Be that as it may, Manning's guys are easy to root for. All humble men of good character in their post-match interviews.

Great to see you on the boards again.
