Tricky Dicky
I like: 125 - Ventresca - He's been wrestling well lately and I think he beats Wagner again and avenges his loss to Trombley. 133 - Latona - not going to be easy, because Orine is dangerous, but I think Latona makes it past him and finds a way to finish a shot on Phillipi so it doesn't go to rideouts. 141 - Matthews - He's too solid. Beats Crook in the semis and Jack in the finals in boring, close matches 149 - Henson - He'll probably get Sherman in the semis which could be a test, but I think he gets it done. 157 - O'Connor - Andonian and Scott will be exciting with Andonian prevailing again. But he can't solve the O'Connor puzzle. 165 - McCoy - I didn't see these guys much, so shot in the dark. 174 - Lewis - He can throw in some stinkers now and then, but I don't think he gets tested here. 184 - Hidlay - As much as I would love to see Bolen take him out, I don't think it happens. Probably a one takedown match again. 197 - Nino - I think Trumble avenges the Smith loss but Nino beats him again in the finals. 285 - Niesenbaum - Not a strong feeling but giving Duke one. VT - 4 champs Pitt - 2 champs UNC, NC St, UVA, Duke - 1 ea I think thats close to best case for VT (I'm a homer) and I could see NC State getting champs at 125, 197 and 285 which would give them 4 and VT 3. Should be a fun tournament.
