Is it possible the EIWA pre-seeds are right?

1 - they have Ungar seeded ahead of Glory

2 - Zapf ahead of YIANNI

3 - Artalona ahead of Humphreys

HUH????

Yeah, I just started looking at that.  The only thing I can think of is that some of the crazy mis-seeds are due to lack of RPI.  Glory doesn't have 15 matches at 125, nor does Yianni.  So if they have some automagic ranking system, some guys get dinged for that?

I saw Ungar ahead of Glory and I had to look further down to see if there was some other sorting algorithm in play!

Artalona 23-5

Humphries 12-0

Won’t matter in the end, but it might wear on some strategists.

Don't know how Humphries could be 12-0 because I distinctly remember seeing Gfeller pin him at least twice.

I'm guessing this is a points based system and that obvious errors - Yianni did beat Zapf in the dual - will be fixed.

However, I for one am happy to see some punishment for wrestlers with few matches and obvious "ducks".

Definitely needs to be fixed because the conference only has 2 bids at 149 and I don’t believe Eiwa is wrestling true 2nd matches , so whatever side yianni is on is a big deal to guys who need an auto bid

FYI - According to Wrestle Stat Humphreys beat Gfeller 7-6 in November.

Yeah but G pinned H twice first, in fact it might've been one of those elusive pin then fall combinations that Wkn likes to talk about, maybe the ref had never seen one before?  🙄

Pin?

Fall?

Pin Fall?

PINFALL.

One word to rule them all.

The ref call none of em!  Have to assume he was from PA but trained with a very limited vocabulary.

My understanding (from a Gimp post on the Lehigh forum) is that those seeds held form (Zapf #1, Yianni #2). Flo Arena still shows it that way, which he updates.

I'll go one step further from not hating it: I love it

I don't hate it if it reduces ducking.

It would reduce ducking if that’s how they seeded ncaas but all this does is hurt guys at smaller schools in weight classes that don’t have many AQ spots
