    Wartburg honored at Iowa Statehouse

    Special resolutions honoring the 2008 NCAA Division III national champion Wartburg College wrestling team were read on the floor of the Iowa Statehouse Tuesday, April 8. The Knights toured the state capitol building, met Governor Chet Culver and also toured 133-pound All-American Jake Helvey's hometown grade school during their Des Moines visit.

    The resolutions, SR-136, were read by Senate District 9 senator Bill Heckroth, and HR 146, were read by House District 29 representative Ro Foege and House District 17 representative Pat Grassley during Tuesday's session of the Iowa General Assembly. Photos of Mr. Heckroth, a native of Waverly, and Mr. Foege reading each resolution are attached as is a photo of members of the 2008 national champions with Governor Chet Culver.
