Virginia Tech claimed the Virginia Duals title
HAMPTON, Va. -- No. 13 Virginia Tech handed in-state foe Virginia a 37-5 defeat to win the 2019 Virginia Duals title at the Hampton Coliseum on Saturday night.
The Hokies (5-2) won nine of the 10 bouts with five going for bonus points. The win marked Tech's fourth Duals title over the last six years and its second in the last three. Tech will next be back in action at Cassell Coliseum on Jan. 25 against Pitt at 7 p.m.
