Spaid won all five of his matches while helping Bloomsburg to a 3-2 record at the Virginia Duals. Among those five wins, two came by fall in under a minute. At the Duals, he also won a 3-1 decision over Penn State's Aaron Anspach, who was ranked 13th in the nation.
Spaid, a junior, ran his record to 21-5 for the year. He leads all PSAC wrestlers with 12 pins on the season. In the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association/InterMat Division I wrestling poll, Spaid is ranked 10th nationally in the heavyweight division.
The Huskies are 7-7 overall and will host West Virginia this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Nelson Field House.
