Leading, 18-3, Rhode Island College added to the margin after sophomore Brandon Conrad (East Bridgewater, MA) earned a 7-3 decision over freshman Clay Callahan (Milford, CT) at 165 lbs. The Anchormen soon jumped ahead of the Panthers, 24-3, thanks to junior Rob Sotelo's (Little Falls, NJ), 8-6, decision at 174 lbs. over junior Taylor Lozier (Barre, VT).
Plymouth State responded with a 3-2 victory in a battle of ranked wrestlers at 184 lbs. to make it, 24-6, in the final stages of the match.
