His JJ Classic titles have come at 106 pounds (2014) and 100 pounds (2013). He is a two-time state finalist, and last season won a state championship at 106 pounds with a pin in the state championship match.
Joshua Portillo is a two-time state champion, with his state titles coming at 126 pounds (2015) and 113 pounds (2014). This past spring he won a Junior National folkstyle title at 120 pounds.
Both competed at the Night of Conflict held at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City on Oct. 16.
