    Pat Smith leaving Oklahoma State

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Volunteer assistant coach Pat Smith has elected to step down from his position with Oklahoma State's wrestling program.

"There is great pain in having your brother leave your staff after 11 years," head coach John Smith said. "Pat has made a contribution to the legacy of this wrestling program. He regrets his personal decisions and is stepping down because he loves Oklahoma State University and the wrestling program."

Smith joined his brother's staff in 1994 after capturing his fourth NCAA title. He was recently elected to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and will be enshrined in June.
