Helen Maroulis earned her gold medal at 53 kilograms/116.5 pounds, becoming the first U.S. women's freestyle wrestler to have won an Olympic gold medal. Kyle Snyder brought home the gold in men's freestyle at 97 kilograms/213.5 pounds. At age 20, Snyder - who wrestles heavyweight for Ohio State - became the youngest U.S. male to win an Olympic wrestling championship.
