    Northern State hands DWU 30-18 defeat

    Aberdeen, S.D. -- The Northern State University wrestling team recorded its second dual win of the season, 30-18 over Dakota Wesleyan. Six Wolves took home victories in the contest.

    The Wolves left 125 and 133 open, however were able to come back with four wins and two falls. Tyler Frost (141) and Joe Gomez (197) took home three points apiece for the Wolves by virtue of the DWU forfeit.

    Grant Steen defeated Eutimio Mendivil by a 3-0 decision in the 149 match. Blake Perryman was up next for the Wolves. After a hard fought two periods, Perryman came out and defeated Wesleyan's Nick Woslum by fall at 5:33, grabbing nine points for Northern.

    Anthony Navarro defeated Alex Osborne by an 11-5 decision in the 174 pound match. Heavyweight Dustin Caspers capped off the night for the Wolves winning by fall at 2:01, over Trevor Peter, and sealing the 30-18 victory.

    The Wolves will be on the road tomorrow at Minnesota State, beginning at 7 p.m. in Mankato.
