Today's win gives the Panthers their fourth consecutive dual win to improve to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in the MAC. EMU fell to 5-5 overall and 1-4 in the MAC.
JJ Everard knocked off his second ranked opponent this weekend with a 10-4 decision over No. 17 Gage Hutchison. Everard notched four takedowns and earned riding time.
Everard beat No. 29 Quean Smith of Iowa State Friday night in dual at Ames, Iowa.
The Panthers notched 31 takedowns to the Eagles' eight and earned riding time in seven of the matches.
Taylor Lujan (174 pounds) led the team in takedowns with nine. Bryce Steiert notched six takedowns at 165 pounds, and Drew Foster had five at 184 pounds.
"I don't really care how these guys score points," said head coach Doug Schwab. "We are going to try to put them in their best positions and widen the gap on guys. And I think that is starting to happen across the board. As a team, we are starting to open things up."
