No. 21 Saavedra verbally commits to Old DominionIsrael Saavedra, a Calfiornia state champion in 2013 and 2014, verbally committed to Old Dominion early on Saturday afternoon. Despite placing third in the state tournament as a junior, Saavedra enters his senior season as the No. 21 ranked overall wrestler in the Class of 2016. Right after his junior high school season, Saavedra won the 132 pound weight class at the NHSCA Junior Nationals in Virginia Beach.
