Kaleb RomeroThree-time state champion Kaleb Romero (Mechanicsburg, Ohio) verbally committed to Ohio State on Tuesday. Ranked No. 12 overall in the Class of 2017, he has a three season high school record of 150-3; the last two of those losses coming at the Walsh Ironman in December of 2014. Romero went undefeated at both the NWCA Scholastic Duals and AAU Scholastic (aka Disney) Duals this past off-season.
He ended the 2015-16 season ranked No. 10 in the nation at 160 pounds, and also was a first-team all-state selection at quarterback on the football field last fall. Romero projects to compete as a 174/184 for the Buckeyes.
