    No. 11 Griffith verbally commits to Stanford as part of 2018 class

    Already twice a state champion headed into his junior season of high school, Shane Griffith (Bergen Catholic, N.J.) made a college decision as well early on Monday evening. The eleventh ranked overall wrestler in the Class of 2018 verbally committed to Stanford University. Griffith was a Cadet National freestyle runner-up and Super 32 Challenge champion during calendar year 2015. Currently ranked ninth nationally at 152 pounds, Griffith projects to compete as a 165 pound wrestler in college.
