3x Russian Nationals bronze medalist #15 Aryan Tyutrin (BLR) won The Medved by way of a 5-4 decision over 2019 Russian Nationals bronze medalist Muslim Sadulaev (RUS). Taking bronze at the event was Goga Dzhigua (GEO) and Fedor Postnikov (RUS). Amir Chamzyn (RUS) won the Ion Cornianu Memorial tournament over 2017 U-23 world runner-up Mikyay Salim Naim (BUL). Demian Liutcanov (MDA) took bronze.
In the Russian world team wrestle-offs for the Non-Olympic world championships, Russian Nationals bronze medalist #16 Abubakar Mutaliev (RUS) was able to come away with two huge wins over 2020 Russian Nationals runner-up #7 Azamat Tuskaev (RUS) and 2019 Russian Nationals champion #14 Ramiz Gamzatov (RUS) to earn the world team spot. Mutaliev moves up ten spots in the rankings to #6 while #14 Ramiz Gamzatov (RUS) moves up seven spots to #7 for his 17-6 tech fall win over 2021 Russian Nationals runner-up #6 Nachyn Mongush (RUS) and Uyguulan Ivanov.

2019 57 KG Pan-Am Games champion Daton Fix (USA) made his successful debut at 61 KG winning the U.S. World Team Trials in impressive fashion. In taking gold, Fix beat domestic standouts Nathan Tomasello, Seth Gross, Carter Young and Tyler Graff by a scoring differential of 39-5. Fix makes his debut at the 61 KG weight class at #5 thanks to the strength of his wins 57 KG Olympic bronze medalist #3 (57) Thomas Gilman (USA) along with two-time 57 KG U-23 world champion #19 (57) Reineri Andreu Ortega (CUB).
While there is an argument against factoring in other weight wins to make such a high debut, a win over an established Olympic contender the likes of Gilman transfers up better than the rest of the field at 61 KG that had seen a great deal of turn over during the Olympic cycle and was defined by a new crop of Russian and age group talent cannibalizing each other, without anyone save for the most elite of the elite having creating separation from each other.
Andrey Bekrenev, a 2018 world championships representative for Belarus, made his return to the rankings at #9 after winning the Medved over Azat Ogannisyan (KAZ). Bekrenev's top 10 spot in the rankings is warranted after his semifinal victory over #12 Nodar Arabidze (RUS), a 5th place finisher at Russian Nationals, who'd upset U-23 European champion #9 Taimuraz Vanishvili (GEO) in the qualification round. Arabidze along with Islam Guseinov, both of Russia, took bronze at the event with Arabidze climbing two spots in the rankings to #10 for his win over #9 Vanishvili while Bekrenev takes the #9 spot previously held by Vanishvili who falls to #11.
Winning gold at the Ion Corneanu Memorial was Arman Eloyan of France over Leomid Colesnic (MDA) with Razvan Kovacs of Romania taking bronze.

Russian Nationals runner-up #3 Zagir Shakhiev locked up the world team spot with dominant wins over U-23 European runner-up #9 Abdulmazhid Kudiev and two time world bronze medalist #13 Akhmed Chakaev. Two-time world bronze medalist #13 Akhmed Chakaev moves up five spots to #8 in the rankings for tech falling 2021 Russian Nationals bronze #9 Abdulmazhid Kudiev in the world team trials wrestle-offs. Shakhiev's win over Chakaev avenges his past loss from the 2020 Russian Nationals semifinals where Chakaev finished runner-up to 2019 world champion #2 Gadzhimurad Rashidov (RUS).
#18 Yianni Diakomihalis (USA) will make his much anticipated Senior World debut after winning a breathtaking three-match series against Olympic trials runner-up #20 Joey McKenna (USA). Finishing in bronze in the U.S. World Team Trials was Evan Henderson by way of 17-6 tech fall over Luke Pletcher.
2019 61 KG Yarygin runner-up Nikolai Okhlopkov (ROU) won the Ion Corneanu Memorial tournament over Marwane Yezza (FRA) with a pair of Moldovans in Veniamin Borzin and Pavel Graur taking bronze.
Winning the title at the Medved was two time 61 KG Russian Nationals runner-up Ramazan Ferzaliev (RUS) over Peiman Nemati (IRI). Finishing in bronze at The Medved was 2020 European runner-up Nyurgun Skryabin (BLR) and Kian Mahmoudjanloo (IRI). #18 Magomedmurad Gadzhiev (POL) moved back up to 70 KG where he slots in at #6, having taken bronze at the 2019 world championships and gold at the 2020 Individual World Cup at the weight.

2021 Russian Nationals runner-up #2 Evgheni Zherbaev walked away with a pair of huge wins over 2021 Russian Nationals champion #1 Israil Kasumov and 2019 world champion #4 David Baev to secure the world team spot. Zherbaev takes the #1 spot while Kasumov falls to #2. 2019 Russian Nationals champion Baev avenged his loss from the 2020 Russian Nationals finals to #5 Cherman Valiev by 5-0 win and Yarygin champion #3 Kurban Shiraev lost 6-5 to #2 Israil Kasumov in the world team trial wrestle-offs semis.
#8 James Green (USA) made his sixth U.S. World team in a rematch of his 2019 Final X match series against Ryan Deakin (USA). Deakin, a 2017 Junior world runner-up at 65 KG and a 2019 U.S. Open at 70 KG makes his return to the rankings at #14 for upsetting Ziolkowski champion #9 Alec Pantaleo (USA) in the semifinals of the world team trials. Taking bronze at Trials was two time 65 KG world representative Zain Retherford by way of 11-0 tech fall over Tyler Berger.
#18 (65) Magomedmurad Gadzhiev (POL) made his return back to 70 KG by winning gold at the inaugural Andrzej Supron cup. Gadzhiev slots in at #6, having taken bronze at the 2019 world championships and gold at the 2020 Individual World Cup at 70 KG in the past. #18 (74) Cherman Valiev (RUS) made his return to 70 KG where he is a three time Russian Nationals medalist (bronze in '19 and '21, champion in '20) and lost first round in the Russian world team wrestle-offs to #4 David Baev (RUS) 5-0 in a rematch of their 2020 Russian Nationals finals match. Valiev returns to the rankings at #5.
2017 65 KG world champion #14 Zurab Iakobishvili (GEO) won the Medved by way of a 7-2 victory over 2020 Russian Nationals bronze medalist Ruslan Zhendaev (RUS). Bronze medalists at the event were Giorgi Elbakidze (GEO) and Aliaksandr Kuryshta (BLR). The champion of the Ion Corneanu Memorial was Nicolai Grahmez (MDA) over 2014 65 KG world bronze medalist Mihail Sava (MDA). Bronze medalists were Marc Dietsche (SUI) and Norbert Molnos (HUN). Yarygin runner-up #9 Azamat Nurikov (BLR) made the move back up to 74 KG where he won his sixth Medved title over 2017 70 KG Russian Nationals runner-up Magomed Dibirgadzhiev (RUS).
2016 Baku GGP runner-up Gitinomagomed Gadzhiev (AZE) beat 2014 61 KG Russian Nationals bronze medalist Murad Nukhadiev 10-6 at the Volnik League 5 event.

Three-time Russian Nationals bronze medalist #6 Timur Bizhoev locked up the world team spot with decisive victories over past world champions #7 Magomedrasul Gazimagomedov and #9 Magomed Kurbanaliev. Kurbanaliev beat Ali Aliev champion #11 Nikita Suchkov 2-1 in the world team trials wrestle-offs semis before losing to #6 Timur Bizhoev in the finals.
#9 (70) Azamat Nurikov (BLR) won his sixth Medved title in impressive fashion over redhot Magomed Dibirgadzhiev (RUS), who'd upset European champion #4 Taimuraz Salkazanov (SVK) in his semifinal bout. Bronze medalists at The Medved were Salkazanov and Dimitri Jioevi (GEO). Nurikov and Dibirgadzhiev slot in at #12 and #13 in the rankings while Salkazanov falls ten spots in the rankings to #14. Taking the title of champion of the Ion Cornianu Memorial was Murad Kuramagomedov (HUN) by way of 10-0 tech fall against Crisztin Biro (ROU). Bronze medalists were Dimitrov Nikolay (BUL) and Vasile Diacon (MDA).

Five-time World/Olympic champion Jordan Burroughs of the United States made his long awaited 79 KG debut at the U.S. World Team Trials. Burroughs, ranked eighth at 74 KG, impressed on his way to his tenth U.S. World/Olympic team with wins over Hayden Hidlay, Chance Marsteller, Jason Nolf, and 2019 Final X runner-up Alex Dieringer. After his conquest at the U.S. World Team Trials, Burroughs makes his 79 KG debut as the new king of the weight while standout Alex Dieringer makes his return at #2 behind Burroughs. Taking bronze in the U.S. World Team Trials was 174 LB NCAA champion Carter Starocci who went on an absolute tear in the consolation bracket beating past All-Americans Evan Wick and Chance Marsteller before concluding his tournament with a win over three time NCAA champion Jason Nolf for bronze.
2021 Russian Nationals bronze medalist #5 Radik Valiev locked up the world team spot with wins over 2021 Russian Nationals champion #3 Malik Shavaev and 2019 world bronze medalist Gadzhi Nabiev. Valiev climbs up two spots in the rankings to #3 while Nabiev returns to the rankings at #4 for avenging his loss from the 2020 Russian Nationals championships to #4 Akhmed Usmanov in the semifinals of the world team wrestle-offs by way of a 6-2 win.
2020 Russian Nationals bronze medalist #7 Amanulla Gadzhimagomedov (RUS) came out the champion of a brutal Medved bracket that featured the likes of European champion #1 Akhsarbek Gulaev (SVK), 2018 U-23 world champion #2 Nika Kentchadze (GEO), 2019 U-23 world champion Tariel Gaphrindashvili (GEO) and 2020 Junior Russian Nationals champion #10 Magomed Magomaev (RUS). Gadzhimagomedov takes the #6 spot in the rankings for his win over #7 Nika Kentchadze (GEO).
#10 Magomed Magomaev (RUS) moves up two spots in the rankings to #8 for his upset win over European champion Gulaev in the quarterfinals. Gulaev fell eight spots in the rankings to #9. Taking bronze at The Medved was #8 Magomed Magomaev (RUS) and Dmitri Zainidiinov (RUS).
Winning the Ion Corneanu Memorial title was 2018 74 KG U-23 world runner-up Maxim Vasiolioglu (ROU) over 2018 74 KG Junior world bronze medalist David Betanov (RUS). Csaba Vida (HUN) placed bronze.

The biggest news at 86 KG was that Olympic Trials runner-up #10 Bo Nickal (USA) made his MMA debut on September 24th at 185 pounds. Nickal has been removed from the rankings. 2017 74 KG Russian Nationals runner-up Alan Zaseev (RUS) made the most of his 86 KG debut by winning The Medved in impressive fashion over the likes of three-time Russian Nationals bronze medalist #18 Arsenali Musalaliev (RUS) and Ada Bagomedov (RUS). For his efforts, Zaseev debuts in the rankings at #16. Taking bronze at The Medved was #18 Arsenali Musalaliev (RUS) and Ashkab Saadulaev (RUS). European runner-up #19 Sandro Aminashvili (GEO) moved up to 92 KG where he failed to place at The Medved after a loss to Nurgun Sergin (RUS).
Winning the Ion Corneanu Memorial title at 86 KG was Ivan Ichizli (MDA) over Cristi Prisacari (MDA). Uri Kalashnikov (ISR) and Rusev Evelin (BUL) took bronze.
Olympic bronze medalist #3 Artur Naifonov (RUS) beat 2019 European Games champion #4 Dauren Kurugliev (RUS) 3-2 to lock up the Russian world team spot for Oslo.

2021 Russian Nationals champion #1 Magomed Kurbanov (RUS) locked up the world team spot with wins over #5 Azamat Zakuev (RUS) and #16 Soslan Ktsoev (RUS) in the world team wrestle-offs. 2021 Russian Nationals bronze medalist Azamat Zakuev (RUS) returned to the rankings in a major way spots at #5 after upsetting 2021 Russian Nationals runner-up #5 Anzor Urishev 5-1 in the world team wrestle-offs before losing in the finals 5-0 to Kurbanov.
Two-time world champion #13 J'den Cox (USA) recovered from his bronze medal performance at the Ziolkowski earlier this year by winning the U.S. World Team Trials over Kollin Moore (USA). 2019 86 KG Junior world bronze medalist Trent Hidlay took bronze over Drew Foster. While Cox is the reigning two time world champion at this weight, the fact he beat no relevant ranked competitors at this competition and coupled with his upset loss to #12 Illia Archaia (UKR) from earlier this year means that while he may be the a favorite for world gold he cannot take the #1 spot yet.
#10 Amarhadzhi Magomedov (BLR) won the Medved over 2019 world bronze medalist #14 Irakli Mtsituri (GEO). Finishing in bronze was Nurgun Sergin (RUS) and 86 KG Junior world champion Amirhossein Firouzpourbandpei (IRI). The 92 KG weight class at the Ion Corneanu Memorial was not contested.
97 KG
2019 Yarygin champion Shamil Musaev (RUS) looked fantastic in winning The Medved title over #20 Maxim Tolmachev (RUS). Musaev stopped Ashkab Boltukaev (RUS) in the semifinals after Boltukaev had notched a stunning 14-4 tech fall win over two time European runner-up #14 Aleksandr Hushtyn (BLR). Finishing with bronze at The Medved was Zuriko Urtashvili (GEO) and Sarmar Tsarakhov (RUS). From the aftermath of The Medved, Musaev takes the #14 spot in the rankings while Zuriko Urtashvili (GEO) and Ashkab Boltukaev (RUS) slot in at #15 and #16.
Along with his triumph at the Medved, Musaev was able to take away a 10-2 win over 2019 125 KG Alans champion Batraz Gazzaev (RUS) at the Volnik League 5 event. 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Magomed Ibragimov (UZB) also picked up a win at the event over Shamil Imam Aliyev (RUS)
Winning the Ion Corneanu Memorial title at 97 KG was two time Russian Nationals runner-up Aslanbek Sotiev (RUS) over Evtimov Svetan (BUL) while Great Britain's Klimcak Josef took bronze.

With Olympic champion #1 Gable Steveson (USA) signing to the WWE, he has been removed from the rankings. Three time World/Olympic champion #2 Taha Akgul (TUR) takes the #1 spot. Two time world bronze medalist #7 Nick Gwiazdowski (USA) won a two match series against 2019 Junior World champion Mason Parris (USA) to lock up his spot as the U.S. world rep at 125 KG. Taking bronze in the U.S. World team trials was Hayden Zillmer (USA).
#7 Zelimkhan Khizriev used wins over 2021 Russian Nationals bronze medalist Saypudin Magomedov, 2020 Russian Nationals champion #11 Shamil Sharipov and 2020 European championships bronze medalist Baldan Tsyzhipov to lock up the 125 KG Russian world team spot. Baldan Tszyhipov upset #6 Sergey Kozyrev 4-0 in his opening match before taking out 2020 97 KG Russian Nationals bronze medalist Erik Dzhioev 9-0 to make the wrestle-off finals opposite Ali Aliyev champion #6 Zelimkhan Khizriev where he fell 8-6. Erik Dzhioev upset two time Russian Nationals champion #12 Anzor Khizriev 4-4 in his opening match before losing 9-0 in the semis to Baldan Tsyzhipov. From the world team trials wrestle-offs, Khizriev climbs up three spots to take #4, Tsyzhipov returns to the rankings at #5 and 2020 97 KG Russian Nationals bronze medalist Erik Dzhioev debuts at #12.
Winning the Medved title at heavyweight was #10 Dzianis Khramiankov (BLR) over #15 Abbas Foroutanrami (IRI), with bronze medalists being Sair Gairbekov (RUS) and Solomon Manashvili (GEO). The champion of the Ion Corneanu Memorial tournament was Azamat Chosonov (GRE) over Jere Heino (FIN) with Martin Langh (HUN) taking bronze.

Taking the #5 spot is 2019 65 KG world champion Gadzhimurad Rashidov (RUS). #13 Taimuraz Salkazanov (SVK), the European champion at 74 KG who defeated the likes of #12 Frank Chamizo (ITA) and #13 Razambek Zhamalov (RUS), has been removed from the rankings after an upset loss in the semifinals of the 74 KG Medved tournament to eventual runner-up Magomed Dibirgadzhiev (RUS). 97 KG Olympic runner-up Kyle Snyder (USA) and 125 KG Olympic bronze medalist Amir Zare (IRI) complete the pound for pound rankings taking the #24 and #25 spots.
