Senior Nolan Hellickson set the tone for the Crimson, edging out Jose Diaz at 125 pounds with a 7-5 decision. It only got better. Michael Jaffe continued his outstanding first-year campaign, earning his 12 win the 23-6 technical fall over Michael Simonetti. At 141 pounds, junior Lukus Stricker gave Harvard six points with a pin of Sean Coakley at 3:51.
After two quick decisions gave the Crimson a commanding 20-0, the Diplomats cut the lead in half with a major decision and technical fall. But Harvard was resilient and secured two of the final three matches.
First-year Michael Doggett dominated the 184-pound bout against James Stilleman, coming out victorious with a 7-6 decision in overtime. Fellow first-year No. 10 Yaraslou Slavikouski closed out the match with solid 4-1 decision over Vincenzo Pelusi.
