    Fay named WWC Wrestler of the Week

    CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- University of Northern Iowa senior 165-pounder Moza Fay (Anamosa, Iowa/Anamosa HS) has been named the Western Wrestling Conference's Wrestler of the Week as announced by league officials.

    Fay, the nation's No. 2-ranked 165-pounder, improved to 6-0 on the season with a 3-2 win over No. 4-ranked Ryan Morningstar (Iowa) in the Panthers dual with the Hawkeyes. Fay notched an escape and then a takedown with only five seconds left in the second period to take a 3-2 lead. Fay kept Morningstar at bay in the third period and was able to fend off several shots at the end of the match to secure the victory.

    The Western Wrestling Conference is comprised of seven schools including the Air Force Academy, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, Northern Iowa, South Dakota State, Utah Valley and Wyoming.
