University of Tennessee at Chattanooga wrestling head coach Heath Eslinger announced the addition of Nick Brascetta to the Mocs staff this week. Brascetta joins Chattanooga's program as the Coordinator of Student-Athlete Development.
Brascetta is a 2016 graduate of Virginia Tech where he was a three-time All-American for the Hokies. He finished third at last year's NCAA Championships at 157 pounds. He was also a three-time ACC Champion during his career at Virginia Tech.
"We are excited to add Nick to our staff," added Eslinger. "He is very accomplished on the mat and is the total package as a coach. He is going to be a great addition for our student-athletes.
"Competitively, he brings a very high expectation to our program."
A native of Graham, Ohio, he was the ACC Rookie of the Year in 2012 after winning the league title at 149 pounds. He repeated his ACC crown and placed eighth at the NCAAs in 2013, before redshirting in 2014. He won another ACC title at 157 in 2015 and went on to finish fourth at the NCAAs.
He earned his degree in Accounting at Virginia Tech and is currently working on his M.B.A. at UTC.
