Campbell moved to 8-7 overall in dual competition this season, including a 5-1 SoCon mark with Sunday's sweep.
Campbell closed the match with six straight pins to defeat VMI 55-0 in its first bout of the day. The Camels totaled a season-high seven pins in the win, notching its largest margin of victory since the 1995-96 season.
CU led 19-0 after tech falls from Korbin Meink (15-0) at 125 pounds and Zach Barnes (20-4) at 149, plus a fall for Nathan Boston (0:49) at 133 and a 17-11 decision for Jonathan Ryan at 141.
The Camels finished the match with six consecutive falls from Austin Kraisser (157, 2:26), Quentin Perez (165, 3:22), Andrew Morgan (174, 4:15), Luke Funck (184, 2:24), Chris Kober (197, 3:55) and Jere Heino (285, 0:44).
Campbell and SIUE split the first four bouts of the match, with Jonathan Ryan's 12-4 major decision over Dakota Leach at 141 pounds being the difference. Meink, meanwhile, led off with a 3-2 sudden victory in overtime over Zach Gentzler at 125.
John Muldoon and Tyshawn Williams also collected decisions for the Cougars.
Kraisser and Perez posted back to back CU wins at 157 and 165 pounds, with Kraisser taking an 8-5 decision over Karsten Van Velsor, and Perez adding his second fall of the day, pinning Nate Higgins (5:44).
Morgan's 13-5 major decision over Bryce Shewan at 174, followed by Funck's forfeit victory at 184 pounds put CU up 26-6 to clinch the win.
No. 32 Christian Dulaney picked up SIUE's third decision of the match with a 10-5 win over Chris Kober, but at heavyweight, Heino capped off the match with a pin over Tommy Helton (5:53) for the Camels, his second fall of the day.
VMI fell to 2-9 overall and 2-4 in SoCon action. SIUE dropped to 5-12 on the season and 3-3 in conference action.
The Camels will round out the regular season hosting Chattanooga on February 17.
The 2018 Southern Conference Championships will be held March 3 in Charleston, S.C.
