Caldwell is a junior at North Carolina State and is currently ranked third in the nation at 149 pounds. He placed fifth at the 2008 NCAA tournament, becoming the school's first All-American since 1996. Caldwell was also a three-time state champion in New Jersey.
Djoumessi is a senior at Wartburg and is currently the top-ranked 184 pound wrestler in Division III. He is a two-time All-American and the defending NCAA Division III champion at 184 pounds.
