BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The University at Buffalo wrestling team put on a dominant performance in defeating Columbia, 32-3, at Alumni Arena on Saturday afternoon. The Bulls won all but one match on the day to improve their dual record to 5-3 on the season.

Bryan Lantry followed with a 9-2 decision over Alex Kelly at 133. Lantry had three takedowns in the match to improve to 6-1 in duals on the year.

At 184, Brett Perry earned a major decision over Donny Donnelly, 10-2. Perry gained six points in the third period to earn the major.

Nate Rose wrestled in a home dual for the first time in his career and didn't disappoint the UB faithful. The redshirt-freshman earned a 14-0 major decision over Mike Bulkin. Rose improved to 3-0 in duals on the year.

Jake Gunning capped the day off with a 6-3 decision over Garrett Ryan. Gunning trailed, 1-0, entering the third period, before scoring all six of his points to defeat Columbia's national-qualifier.

"This win was good for us," head coach John Stutzman said. "We spent a lot of time this week on top and bottom and I think it really showed today. We rode hard and got off the bottom. We're progressing and just keep need to progress."
