Three of Boise State's win came by forfeit as the injury plagued Vikings had to forfeit matches at 133 and 141 pounds and heavyweight.
The Broncos won two matches by technical fall (15 or more points). K.C. Walsh, a senior from Tacoma, Washington, defeated Sean Murphy 18-3 in the 184-pound weight class and Ben Cherrington, a senior from Granby, Colorado, handed Kainoa Casco a 20-4 defeat in the 157-pound weight division.
Along with Walsh and Cherrington, five other Broncos were making their final appearance on the Bronco mat. Ben Gilliland (Battle Ground, Wash.) won his final home match with a 12-7 decision over Brian Lemmon at 174 pounds and Casey Phelps (Rathdrum, Idaho) recorded a 15-6 major decision over Jake Schneider in the 197 pound weight class.
Scott Jorgensen (Eagle, Idaho) made his final appearance on the Bronco mat in the 141-pound weight class when he accepted a forfeit, as did Jeremy Baker (Layton, Utah) at 133 pounds.
The other senior wrestling his final time at home was Jordan Brock who wrestled in exhibition and pinned Tony Kubec at the 2:46 mark of their match.
Patrick Walsh (Tacoma, Wash.) was the other senior on the team but did not wrestle.
The Broncos will travel to national power University of Iowa for their final dual of the season on February 17 (Friday) before competing in the Pac-10 Conference Championships at Stanford University on February 26 and 27 (Sunday and Monday).
