    Bloomsburg dominates Franklin & Marshall

LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Bloomsburg University wrestling team notched victories in nine of the 10 matches en route to a 38-3 victory over Franklin & Marshall Saturday evening. With the win, the Huskies improved to 3-8 in dual matches this season.

Bloomsburg came out firing on all cylinders, as Willy Girard (Williamstown, Pa/Williams Valley) (125 lbs.) and Shawn Orem (Pasadena, Md./Mount Saint Joseph) (133 lbs.) both notched major decision victories to give the Huskies an early 8-0 lead. Aaron Coleman (Iselin, N.J./John F. Kennedy Memorial) took an early lead on Wilfredo Gil at 141 lbs., but an injury just :48 seconds into the first round would force Gil to withdrawal, extending the Bloomsburg lead to 14-0 through three matches.

The string of Bloomsburg major decision victories would continue for the following two matches, as Grant Bond (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) would defeat Chris Martorello 11-1 at 149 lbs., and Nate Newberry (Biglerville, Pa./Biglerville) would notch a 14-6 victory over Patrick Quinlan at 157 lbs.

Alex Carida (Hackettstown, N.J./Hackettstown) was tested by Franklin & Marshall's Crew Fullerton at 165 lbs, but Carida would fend off a near takedown in the final seconds of the third period to secure the 6-4 decision victory. Anthony Vetrano (Middletown, N.J./Middletown North) followed with a 4-1 victory over Jacob Conners at 174 lbs., and Trevor Allard (Mexico, N.Y./Mexico) would post another Bloomsburg major decision victory with a 14-5 win over Reid Robilotto at 184 lbs.

Philip Robilotto would tally the Diplomats' first points of the evening with a victory via decision over Kyle Murphy (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) at 197 lbs., but the momentum would swing back in Bloomsburg's favor in the heavyweight bout. Looking to cap the impressive Huskies performance with a strong outing, Bruce Graeber (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) would pin Antonio Pelusi midway through the second period to notch Bloomsburg's ninth win and put a stamp on the 38-3 victory.

The Huskies return to the Nelson Field House tomorrow afternoon to square off with Rider University in EWL action. The match is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
