Patrick Simpson began the Black Knights' run of major decision wins with a 13-4 verdict against Matt Button at 149 pounds. Simpson, the team's senior captain, ran his record to 24-5 on the season with the win.
Senior Chad Marzec picked up a 12-4 major decision opposite Joe Bechtold in the 174-pound bout, while fellow classmate Charles Martin scored his major decision triumph with a 10-2 verdict over Billy Colgan at 197 pounds.
Jon Anderson (165 pounds) and Luke Calvert (184) picked up wins via decision for the Black Knights. Anderson, who is now 17-4 on the year, downed Mike Baria, 10-4, while Calvert tripped Louis Caputo, 7-4, for his 20th win of the season.
Army began the match with a 12-0 lead after Harvard forfeited the 125- and 133-pound bouts.
The Black Knights hold a commanding 19-9 lead versus Harvard in the all-time series.
"I thought our guys bounced back from this morning's match and wrestled quite well," remarked Army head coach Chuck Barbee. "I was proud of the way Luke (Calvert) went out and competed in his bout. We are continuing to improve as the season progresses.."
Army returns to competition on Wednesday, Feb. 1, when the Black Knights travel to New York, N.Y., to battle Columbia at 7 p.m.
