Tuesday afternoon saw the release of 47 at-large berths which rounded out the full field of 330 participants for the 2024 NCAA DI Wrestling Championships. For whatever reason, those 47 wrestlers did not wrestle up to the level of automatic qualifier status during their respective conference tournaments; however, based on their full body of work in 2023-24, they were deemed good enough to compete at the national tournament.
Before the full brackets are released this evening, here are some facts surrounding at-large berths over the past few seasons.
